Overton toughed it out playing 10 days after his appendectomy. I will be interested to see what action, if any, the PGA Tour takes in regards to his taking Percocet, which is one of the banned substances under the new drug policy. I know he applied for an emergency Theraputic Use Exemption. I do hope they choose to dismiss it, as Jeff was the one that came forward with the information. He clearly could have not said anything and hoped that he wouldn't get tested that week, but he did he right thing and volunteered the information to the Tour.
Surprised he could hit a golfball on that stuff, it is NO joke....

2 Glove Tommy Gainey made almost a half a mil yesterday. Gets him into top 150 on the money list(only had made 65k before yesterday .) Does that get him conditional status(gets into some lesser tournaments next year,) or what? Same for Chris Dimarco. I don't know how he can go from getting 2nd in majors to not getting in the top 125.

Tommy 2 Glove will have limited status on the PGA Tour next year, but more importantly it means he gets to skip every round of Q-school except the last, where he can improve his status even more. At worst he will have plenty of Nationwide events available to him next year.

I couldn't do that, I would tear my hands up....My hands are sore after one round

I think it has to do with my grip, I don't grip the damn club right (I don't lock my pinkie, because it is very loose within my grip and I lose the darn club when I swing) and I have all 10 fingers on the club....

10 finger grip is actually quite common if you have short, stubby fingers.

DiMarco battled shoulder (had surgery on it last Sept.) and wrists problems all year. Virtually impossible to play good golf with wrists problems.

Edit* his wrists problems didn't come into affect until mid-way through the year.

What's he gunna do? THEY GUNNA GIVE HIM THE CONDITIONAL MEDICAL STARTS? He probably can't get a card at Q School.

No medical exemption for him. He still played in 29 events in 2008.

Here is an interesting artical regarding the use of medical exemptions on the tour.
