This is the AMERICAN WAY to do things: preach FAIRNESS then try to make the game as unfair as possible (that way the fans won't feel left out -- homefield advantage, and such BS). Too bad there's no REPLAY available (like there is in HORSE RACING) to make it possible to get some of these calls correct. The baseball purists (idiots IMO) think it would take the human element out of the game. To me, if it means the CORRECT decision would be made on all questiionable calls (except for balks, balls and strikes), I say go for it. I would hate for a team to be unrightfully robbed of a chance to win the game, esp. meaningful ones like this.
