Did they not actually win games last year?? It continues to amaze me how much glee there has been about this guys injury. Never has a success brought on such venom from the masses since a certain president got a hummer from a young woman in a stained blue dress These guys made some very poor decisions losing touch with the line between competitive advantage and cheating. They paid the price and moved on but to cheer the guys injury would be like cheering for a horses lethal injury because it gave you a long trifecta. There is class and then there is........(Maybe I should post this as a poll to see how deep the ugliness really is)

"Yahoo Brady is Out For The Season"......today's headline from the NY media.

The NY media is desperate to make the Jets a winner. They still suck, even with Favre.

Yes, because there's plenty to base that on. I should probably pick a second team to root for in case you're right.

By the way, the New York Post doesn't count as the NY media. No one takes them seriously, and even so, it said "Yahoo!: Brady Out For Season," as in "That's what Yahoo! is reporting." All of the Brady/Patriots apologists can blow it out their asses. This is karma, just like the beautifully excruciating Super Bowl loss.

i think you guys are missing something in the brady injury. you now have a simmering pot that could boil over. randy moss. if cassel can't get him the ball deep down the field, that will cause trouble. you know he doesn't playing in the middle of the field and gets lazy and disinterested quick.

It doesnt? What counts? The News? If you say the Times or Village Voice you need to leave for Paris in the morning.

There's a reason the it's only a freakin' quarter. Any sentence that starts with "according to the New York Post" should be interrupted at once.

Oh for God's sake even conservatives read the NY Times.
You miss the international section... you miss out.
And the Science section, the best.

I had no idea Boston and NY hatred ran so deep.
From baseball to football. Now if the Knicks ever... forget it.

While I am biased as a Jets fan, seeing as how i watched every game last season, they aren't that bad. They lost a few games where a play or two was the difference between them winning and losing. I know that's how it usually is, but last year every play went against them. And, the thing that has held them back since Chad Pennington put on the jersey was not being able to move the ball down the field. With Favre they can move the ball which will help out Thomas Jones immensely and their line got a few key upgrades. They're going to win the AFC East this year.

Finally, the NY Post is entertaining? To humans?
I thought you got most of your material there

That is the case for a lot of the middling teams in the league- what happens if Favre's shot put on 4th down on Sunday falls incomplete? Food for thought.

The Jets don't suck, I'm just egging on Joey. Even though I'm a Bills fan I don't dislike them, either- I hate the Pats and Dolphins. I just don't think they're anywhere near anything better than a first round playoff loser. Of course you could have said that about the Giants last year, so no reason not to hope.

If you are going to do the "what happens if" with the Farve 4th down td you also have to do "what happens if" the kicker doesnt get hurt.

They wouldnt have missed that first chip shot field goal.

They wouldnt have went for it on 4th down, there for no TD but still 3 pts.

Now i did not intensely watch the whole game, as I made it to the sports bar and was watching the Birds game with my new Eagles friends so I cant say how many other FG tries they could have had.

But there is 6 pts right there ^ so if you play "what happens if", the Jets still win. I feel they would have won by more if the kicker had not been hit and the game would not have come down to the last Dolphins possession.

The Fins also looked much improved than last year, and Chad looks like he will do alright there!

GO EAGLES!

Edit - dont teams keep back up kickers??? Or do they just rely on one guy who could go down??

Doc, I hope your not insinuating that I was full of 'glee' about what transpired yesterday. If so, your waaaay off base and couldn't be more wrong. When did I ever say that I was happy?? I'll have you know that I root for all Michigan players OUTSIDE of NFC East opponents to do well.

What I WAS saying, is that the Pats will not be pouring it on anybody this year like they did last. The teams that they blew out last year, will be entrenched in dog fights this year with them that will go down to the wire. What I meant by my previous post was, if and when they 'go for it' on 4th and long, it will be an attempt to score and win the game. Last year, they did it to widen the already large margin of victory. This year, no more going for touchdowns when winning by 30+ points. It's just not happening.

I honestly wasn't calling out anyone in particular....there are a number of comments about how happy people were to see Brady go down. It was pretty low for obvious reasons.

The NFL and Patriots cover up rampant cheating and you're upset about people cheering his injury? Come on.
