Next Iavarone will challenge Curlins camp to a race where Curlin is connected to a sulky carrying Rosie O'Donnell while BB runs without a jockey.

This is probably pretty obvious, but I'm guessing it has something to do with the fact that he represents an organization that feels (rightfully so) that they have absolutely nothing to gain an everything to lose. What if, hypothetically, he freaks and beats Curlin? Does anyone really think BB is better??!! Not hardly. Of course if he loses, he'll be relegated to "tallest pygmy" status in a year that was exceptionally light in talent, thus negatively impacting his initial fee. It's a lose - lose for IEAH.

Actually it's the complete opposite. For breeding purposes he has zero to lose. If he loses to Curlin does not effect his fee for breeding. He isnt expected to beat Curlin. But..if he wins the fee will move up substantially. Iavarone is just chickens#it. He has NOTHING to lose by running vs Curlin.

The fact is BB was all out in The Haskell to beat a horse that really isnt any good. Ivarone knows deep down that his horse would get crushed in a dirt race vs Curlin.

BB added another G1 to his resume in the Haskell. 5 years from now no one will remember who he beat or how much he beat them by or how crappy the field was, especially if he turns out to be a serviceable stallion. Considering both horses will be entering stud service the same year, and that BB has no chance at beating Curlin, he has nothing to gain by racing Curlin. You call it chickesh!t, it call it managing a business. C'est la vie.

I am sorry.....but going around saying that "We have the best horse...I dont understand why people think Curlin is a good horse....etc" then ducking Curlin is the exact definition of chiceknsh#t. Dutrow and these guys are talking a big game, but are terrified to race Curlin in a real race.

Beating a horse of the quality of Curlin WILL help his value. Not sure why you cant comprehend that. When he goes to the breeding shed yes he will have a bunch of GRade I's...but people in the business will remember that he beat the worst crop of 3 yr olds in decades...if not ever.

Like the coach....dislike the program though. It has been rather entertaining watching them flop the last few years.

Curlin is in a different world then big brown, Big Brown would not get close to Curlin, Curlin wins for fun

I couldnt agree more. The only shot he would have MIGHT be in a match race where maybe Kent D could slow the horse down enough to hold on. That being said...it's Kent Desormeaux...would probably go out in the first quarter in 21 and change.
