The racing gods must have been listening to me as when i went to the mailbox yesterday i had an envelope from Shannandoe Farm responding to my earlier written request for information. Inside was a photo of Mythical from 1987, a copy of the ad that used to run in the stud book and a letter telling me a little about his life after racing. Mythical lived until the ripe old age of 29 and only passed away September 8, 2007, reportedly enjoying peppermints right up until the end. My quest continues to find a photo of Mythical in the winner's circle but even without it it is nice to know he had a great life on a farm where he was loved. |

So glad you found out as much as you did and that Mythical lived out a happy life.
