Who exactly would he have to hold off? Red Rocks, Better Talk Now and Grand Courterier? All nice horses, all really nice horses, but so is Big Brown and the switch back to turf may be key for him. I would think he would have a great chance to win this race. Curlin was 6/5 against this group, so is it that far fetched to see Big Brown at around maybe 3/1? He has after all already proven he can run and run well on the turf.
Sure, his worst 2 races by far were his last two, but maybe 7 weeks off and the change back to the green would perk him up? |

A turf move might make sense. Despite what Dutrow thinks, he would have to be crazy to want a piece of Curlin. Who knows if Curlin runs well on the turf again, then maybe they will couple him with Kip Deville in the BC turf mile. 2 different running styles, and the possible big ego trip for IEAH to run 1-2 in a major race.

Didn't I hear something about the Mass Cap as recently as the Haskell with Big Brown maybe facing Commentator? Then today I read that Curlin's looking at the Woodward followed maybe by...drumroll please...the Mass Cap. Now I see they're talking grass for Big Brown. Sounds like the effort to avoid eating crow is gonna make Team IEAH opt for chicken instead.
