Jimmy retired four years ago without much notice after a solid career as a horseman and true gentleman. Barclay Tagg told Jimmy this morning he should be in the Hall of Fame for putting up with Fred Hooper as an owner for all the years that he did.

Boy, did he love Belmont Park and those wide sweeping turns. Paid over $60 when he won the Manhattan.
