I remember when I was a young kid me and my dad went to santa anita. My dad was a huge fan of Chris McCarron and on this particular day he yelled "happy birthday chris" as he was walking towards the jocks room just after he rode a race. Hearing this, ran to my father and thanked him and held a small conversation with him. He soon jetted fast to the jocks room to suit up for the next race. I cant think of any other sport where an athlete would take time and thank a fan face to face instead of in front of a camera. |
