In a colony of over-rated riders, Espinoza is under-rated. He's a particularly good grass rider.

On to the thread topic... Andrew was brilliant as usual delivering with high energy insight from the Siro's morningcast through the Paddock Preview Show and the 10 pre-race visits. It's always a pleasure to hear his views of a card, but the added benefit of day-long/card flow updates is substancial.. As always, he raises the quality level of the proceedings by lending gravitas.

He's usually an 'include' for me on grass races for my pick 3's & pick 4's for that very reason!

Splendid job by the Romans parents as protrayed in "The First Saturday in May." They are exemplary role models. Let your kid skip school to hang out at the track, play poker, and scalp derby tickets. It was so impressive when the kid was peeling off the Ben's in front of the camera. The racing community should be proud of Mr. and Mrs. Romans nuturing and value system. Jake should be a wonderful addition to the program.

I'm sure no parent in there right mind would let there child skip school when the have a horse in the KENTUCKY DERBY! wow horrible..

I used to take track vacations all the time in middle school and high school.. and look how I turned out!! wait.. not a good example!

Come forth with your agenda.

He's not getting paid, by the way, in case that's what's bothering you.

There are a lot of things you can say but Jake Romans is hardly dumb. Not every successful person got a law degree from Yale and took over the family business. Some actually hustle and learn to make something of themselves. I would say that Jake has a Secretariat like head start over the other 6th graders of his age. Of course I have actually known him almost his whole life and dont judge him based on a few snippets of a movie.

You're right, people that let their kids skip school to hang out at the track should be drawn and quartered. They are the scum of the earth.

What this guy forgot or didn't know is that specific scene was shot on Oaks day... which is a HOLIDAY for Louisville schools.

Next dumb accusation, please.
