Yep, that's it -- Deshler, OH. I met Ivan, his wife and all three sons one year at The Red Mile. This was probably early 90's. Steve, as you said, the oldest, was a very nice young man. Very polite, humble, and just seemed like he had character. He was getting married around that time. It wasn't until Steve had left the barn area that Ivan told me that Steve had cancer and was going to be starting treatment very soon.

We talked a bit about horses and Ivan seemed like one of those ol' fashioned, ol' time, horsemen. It was a pleasure meeting the family.
