Track didn't favor that kind of move (that Street Hero made.) That's exactly the way Street Boss looked last year on days that didn't favor deep stuff. Then he started laying closer to the lead, and that's what made him so improved(he made the same big move, but from closer up.) The track favored the horses who finished top 2 in the last. It seemed to favor stuff just off the front today. Like the winner of the last did.Street Hero showed too much talent to say he won't be good. He is good. It's gunna come down to whether somebody wants to make an offer to these people. If a top trainer gets him, then he could be really nice. With these connections, he will be allowance, or nibble in stakes. The guy training him just can't get it done in big spots. Maybe he doesn't cheat etc., and almost all the other top trainers out here do. I would never play the trainer at less than 10-1. Hope they sell him.

SCUDS, you've lost your mind.
The horse has run 3 other times since his debut. I think everyone pretty much has gotten beyond his debut run. Personally, I never said anything specifically about this horse (other than, given his trainer, he'd run as a maiden in a stakes---guess what? I was right too!!). I was just pointing out a potential change in running style 2nd time out, which many GREEN 2yos do. Apparently not this one. But anyways, congrats. You called it. What you exactly called...I have know idea. |

Actually, looking back at his PPs, I should amend my last post.
In his debut, he was nearly 9 lengths off the early pace. 2nd time out, he was only a length off the pace. Sorry for being way off. |

In fact, I followed this horse the entire Del Mar meet. If you do a search, you will even see that I liked him in the Del Mar Futurity. Since that race, you haven't said two words about the colt other than to disparage the trainer, who obviously had the colt going the right way. Also note, he has a modest contender for the BC Juvenile Fillies (Palacio De Amor) not to mention in years past, has had BC starters place in both the Juvenile ('97) and Juvenile Fillies ('96). So I guess you were the person that was wrong about this horse (and trainer). |

Why should I tout a horse that is green,
I guess you have no sense of progression. Which is probably why you're still hung up on a post you made 3 months ago. and overbet each time in those maiden races? Actually, I was the first one to say he would be overbet. READ IT scuds! You got that from me. After his very first race. That trainer is not reliable, and the horse hasn't been a price ever, actually. Hmmm. What does that tell? That perhaps other people think he's a good horse, too? Naaahhh. Couldn't be that... All I AM SAYING(IF YOU READ IT) IS HE WAS GUNNA BE A STAKES HORSE(after the very 1st race .) Actually, again, I said he'd be a stakes horse first ("The overbet horse next out will be Street Hero...if he shows up in another maiden...given his trainer, he may show up in a stakes as well..."). You just said he was "nice" and "good", for all I knew, you meant he was made out of sugar and spice. You tried to get JCS off him. I tried to get JCS on him. Actually, wrong again. JCS started a thread on this horse BEFORE he even ran. So I guess you were always a little late to the party. Huh. Where you been? norFOLKing around I guess... |

I said I wouldn't ever play the trainer at less than 10-1. I am not talking about betting him. I am talking about the fact these people ignored me when I said he was really good. I told them he ran too good in his debut that day to not be really good. This is about that move he made 1st out. o.k., and they said it wasn't a legit monster move, and they were wrong. They ignored him, because they're ignorant. They went right to the 2 horses that beat him(instead of noticing the real horse who ran huge for 3rd.) I am not gunna tout that trainer's horses to bet. Look back, and you'll see I said he has appeared to be the best horse in all his races. If you want to know what I played , it was Azul Leon to win with 75% of my bet, and the other 25% was a straight exacta Street Hero/Azul Leon. God only knows what was wrong with Azul today. Lion Hearts have been running good over this surface. If he'd of fired, I think he does beat Street Hero, because Street Hero is still pretty dumb. I didn't like being down stuck behind horses in the 2 hole. That could of been an issue. Obviously, he may not be able to 2 turn. That's the way Oneill is for me, though. Friday night he had a horse ready to 2 turn off a layoff. Not today. |

The most telling thing you said, IMO, was that you hope he got sold so that some other cheating trainer could juice him. A great fan of the game you are. By the way, I'm glad you were right about him in today's race (even though you bet another horse). Congrats. Now....NorFOLK off! |
