i agree with that, why not ship him in for this... he is going to be 4 or 5-1 at hollywood on sat, if he was here vs these he'd be 9-5

Why should they ship him across country? Especially when the BC will be on a synthetic surface.

Isn't that why they're running in the Gold Cup? . . and he already has 2 G1s.

he would be heavy favorite at belmont...
at hollywood he will be lucky to be the 3-4 choice...
a grade 1 is a grade 1, why not ship in and stay for the whitney and woodward, everything in ny looks to be coming up soft, TIAGO COULD BE A BEAST ON THE EAST COAST. he is clearly better on dirt, as his 110 beyer and game victory over Heatseeker proves.

I agree shipping Tiago doesn't make much sense.

But why the heck did they ship Student Council to Hollywood when they could have shipped him half the distance to NY for an easier race???

that doesn't really have anything to do with it. . . do you realize what it takes to ship a horse across the country? do you realize that they can't just ship him there and leave him for a few months?

so he's a lock to win? there's no reason to ship him across the country when there's a perfectly good race at home - the goal isn't the suburban or the gold cup anyways. . .

ok, a lock, i guess nothing is a lock and i have learned that.
but what would his odds be ?
he would be very tough to beat.

I KNOW WHAT THE GOAL IS, BUT THERE IS NO PROBLEM PICKING UP GRADE 1'S ON THE WAY, DAM HOCKEY, your getting me all emotional
heatseeker is a freak on synthetics,

It's convenient to keep a horse on their home circuit. I'd probably do the same if I owned Tiago just so all my friends can watch him with me, although I agree that Tiago would destroy the Suburban field.

hoss come on ? the division sucks, look at the suburban, i mean i joke about commentator but dam, he actually is legit for the whitney, especially against horses like the ones who are in the suburban

tiagos owner/trainer etc are west coasters. of course they want to win at home. not everyone thinks the east coast is the place to be.

we usually see the same things said when there are good horses back east, and not much on the west coast. just seems this year there are more horses on the same level out west.
