So, I know this is silly...but I have to fly in and out of Heathrow to get home a few times each year...and I often fly to the airports with routes that might have been targeted...and I'm a little freaked.

Naturally, my family's coming to visit in a few weeks, too. Yay.

I'm starting to appreciate how people felt growing up in the Cold War...I just hope we keep our wits about us. The Brits are doing a fantastic job over here of being quintessentially British (e.g., if they're worried about this or feel like the country's always under threat, you sure can't tell by the public statements, so that should frustrate the heck out of terrorists).

What a world we live in...U2's "Peace on Earth" is running through my head right now. It's sad and a little cynical, which is exactly how I'm feeling.
