He displayed a complete feeling for the moment, as a journalist and as a fan. His narration on the "Jewels of the Triple Crown" is one of my all time favorites. ![]() HBO had an awesome documentary on Jim McKay in the last year or two (memory is shot). It showed a bunch of Wide World of Sports stuff as well as the tragic Munich Olympics hostage crisis that made him a mainstream (not just sports) star. Also, great stories told by Jim to go along with the footage.
Here's hoping they revive it so I can put it on a DVD. |
