There are some absolutely fascinating allowance races on this card as well, in particular the 4th. You have the potential of Fidelio and Mobo, Corinthian's half brother in Vitruvius, the interesting Admirality on the turnback, the very good but hanging Forefathers, and a couple coming out of a race I've been watching very closely (4/20/08 KEE allowance). The only one I'm pretty sure that can't win is Unbridled Danger. A real brainbuster...

Why? Zaftig's last race was pretty big. I'm starting to not like Indian Blessing. Taking the blinkers off is an interesting move by Baffert - is he going to try to rate her? Good luck with that. . .

If you want an interesting jockey move - JJ choosing (assuming he chose) Strike the Deal over Pays to Dream seems odd. Maybe Pays to Dream's last really was a fluke - or maybe we can't trust the pinhead to tell us which horse is better.

Good luck with Shakis - he looks done to me.

I don't really trust him. . . The Pimlico race was HUGE but the grass that day was probably worse than its "good" rating and nobody else in the field fired. Bounce-believers (not me) could point to that too.

I just looked at his 2nd race at SAR. His 1st one was excellent and I wanted to see if he'd had a trouble trip. He wasn't really pinched back or steadied, to any meaningful degree. In fact, positionally, he got a perfect inside (draft) out trip. The shape of the race didn't work to his advantage, however. This guy can thus fire 2 good ones in a row.

In Fat Land, his last race was off the charts.

A case where I think others are better but I can't overlook that last race.

Then again, I still can't get over his 1st race back this year.

zatfig did look fine, beating a bad field, and jv was not even on that day... but like i said i dont think it matters, indian blessing, to me is the best single on the card... short field... her class, her speed, i think she romps
