I would never underestimate what distance breeding can do for a horse in a race like the Belmont. I mean Casino Drive has Better Than Honour and A.P. Indy as his grandsire...what more could you ask for?

How far will it move him up? How far is being by Boundary going to bring BB back to the field going 12fs?

If Casino Drive had more than a two race foundation the arguement for his pedigree moving him up on a 3 furlong stretch out would be stronger.

Big Brown has shown the ability to rate - switch off - and he responds with almost push button acceleration when asked.

While a case could be made, on naked pedigree analysis, that CD moves up 2 or 3 lengths and BB regresses 2 or 3 lengths .. the lack of racing foundation by CD and the way BB runs almost totally offsets the pedigree stuff.

No one in this crop has a race that makes them competitive with any of Big Brown's races. That's what the problem has been for BB's rivals throughout this series.

The time to take a negative stance against BB would have been in the Derby before he firmly established that he could switch off - rate wide - and still run to his best form at a classic distance.

It seems like people want to invent Casino Drive into a monster because he has the same mother as the hopeless Jazil and Rags To Riches. His two races don't match up to this hype.

The way Casino Drive is being talked up of late and leading up to The Belmont, Big Brown may be the distant second choice in the race.

A sub 110 beyer probably won't do it against Casino at 12f.

Big Brown is bred to run all day ... not sure why you think he won't get the 12 panels.

You can tell all this on a maiden score and the US debut? And why is Casino Drive going to run a 110BSF because his plodding half brother did? I am not sure Casino could or would beat his half sister at this point in their respective careers. I think Rags would be second choice if hypothethically she were to be involved. I have no clue how you can project Casino to be better then Rags or more to the point capable of beating Big Brown.

Only two horses since Secretariat have gone 126..Easy Goer and AP Indy,there is no WAY Casino Drive runs a 126...the horse has run two times...two times, let me say it again TWO times and somehow you and these other goofballs think he is a monster. I am hoping to at least see a triple crown winner in my lifetime, hoping to see a good race and BB crosing the line first.

Depending on how many enter, if Big Brown is 1-9, I don't think it's possible for another horse to be less than 7-1 or so.
With Casino Drive, Denis of Cork and perhaps a few more fresh horses coming in, I highly doubt Big Brown would be 1-9. Even casual fans know how difficult it is winning the triple crown, and many will be trying to beat him on Belmont day.

Free exchange of ideas is a good thing. I've learned a lot about handicapping and wagering through internet messageboards. I've also learned to be open about opposing ideas. But at the same time I've learned how to just laugh off insane rants by various jokers.
