Its true the sport needs to focus on people that are actually betting on the sport but the truth is the majority of these people will not be around in 15 years...new blood is needed for horse racing to succeed again, either getting younger kids introduced to the sport or getting 20-30 year olds to the track for the first time would help to get new money into the sport. (younger kids money would come later of course but could be in the sport for many years) Along with that the poker craze I think is helping to kill the sport too.
