because anything can happen, big brown isn't expected to run back to his derby performance, and the checks for second and third are pretty good. placing in a classic will be in bold print on some horses pedigree page-may as well be one of these.

He'll be 2 to 5...so I'd say most are expecting him to run back to his Derby race.

not saying everyone isn't expecting him to win, but i'd think most expect a bounce. problem for the rest of the field-is their top effort, if they can produce it, enough to beat a bouncing big brown?

Assuming Big Brown negotiates the course there is nobody in this race, unless Harlem Rocker runs, that has a chance in hell to win.

Is this the physical (applied) or the theoretical bounce?

Cause, like math/physics, the theoretical bounce is much more revered.

i don't expect big brown to lose to anyone else entered. but we all know anything can happen.
as for the 'bounce' deal, i just know that those who are proponents of that sort of thing think big brown will bounce-but that he will most likely win regardless.

I'm sure many of the great one's have said it, but I remember Mr Jerkens always saying, if there is only one horse to beat, you run. Anything can happen to the horse and then it's wide open...i'm paraphrasing, not quoting...

I'm sure that is what is going on here...especially when you consider the foot issues and BB doing something he's never done before in running twice in 14 days...
