The track seems really fast today. Let's not get too excited.

I think the morality of this sport comes down to always chosing to do what's best for the horse. The people that control that welfare are the trainers and the owners.

'Zig, you being an owner is a good thing.

Injuries and fatalities are part of the sport, do we have to be so dramatic. Wait I hear Violins playing in the backround.....Get off the soap box, it was tragic but get over it.

This maybe a knee jerk reaction but I don't know if I can go on with this partnership. Not everyone agrees with all of my posts. blah blah blah

just to clarify, 3k, i wrote that post yesterday just after the race and finding out about the filly.
that was how i felt at the time, had nothing to do with the partnership itself, but had everything to do with what i felt right then-that i didn't think i wanted to be in a sport where too often a horse loses everything while we helplessly stand by.
today, like i said in that post might happen, i feel less bewildered about it all.
and then you come, 24 hours later, and rail at my post because it didn't jibe with your thoughts. hey, feel free. but my opinion should have no more or less weight then anyone elses, just because we have differing pov's. i wasn't 'on a soapbox' and i'm not quite sure you took it to be such.

Met KNS yesterday as GBBOB took me into the Barn animal. Was a really cool experience seeing how all of the horses had different personalities. Even got to meet the famous Hacker Craft and feed him a peppermint.

I didn't mean to offend you and you are certainly entitled to your opinion. I think my reaction was based on this being a partnership for fun with no huge financial ramifications, so I would have chosen to just walk away or contact Steve without making an announcement. People choose to vent in different ways. By the way I wasn't offended by the flattering names you called me.
