Does the result of this derby hurt polytrack derby prep races in the future with the winners of the lane's end and bluegrass finishing 19th and 20th respectively? or were these horses simply not suited for the distance/surface?

I don't know what the hell Monba's problem was ... I was shocked at him finishing dead last, honestly. He had a win over the surface, so I assumed he would be somewhat of a factor at the very least. Boy was I wrong ...

think these results could keep trainers from wanting the final prep to be at say the blue grass? will this start to be a race where owners that have derby fever put their horses just to get them the graded earnings? i know its a quick to judge with last year having ss winning and hard spun finishing 2nd, but again just proves no one has any idea what to do with the surface
