He's a phony. Mickelson, Garcia and Greg Norman are the only 3 guys I have never cared for.

Yes! Someone should ask Conrad Dobler if Lefty is a phony.

Gotta do something to maintain his image. Many pro atheletes do such things...they just prefer to keep it quite and don't need the attention.

Nothing wrong with Phil, seems like a good guy and a class act to me. First time I heard of that story, a damn good gesture on his part.

To each his own of course.

Im done debating the merits of Phil. I know what I know and I am very comfortable in what I know.

All in all, he is an incredible talent on the golf course....no matter how much I dislike him.

I really hope that TW gets it rolling on the back 9 to make things interesting. What do you think he needs to be back in order for him to stand a legit chance tomorrow am. 6, 7, 8 back?

I liked Furyk's chances since it is somewhat playing like a US Open excluding the rough but now I like a Euro player to put on the Green Jacket Sunday evening.

Michael Thompson just called a 1 shot penalty on himself on the 15th green when his ball moved just ever so slightly after he grounded his putter.

How about that, that is what this game is all about and major props to him for being honest.

I feel sorry for Dobler and the other players.
But Dobler was a complete sh it when he played.
He tried to hurt people.

The list of defensive lineman he tried to disable is
long. I mean who the hell would try to poke out the
eyes and bite the fingers off of a guy like Merlin Olsen?
Then tried to leg whip him numerous times almost ruining
Olsen's career. Olsen was known as a clean player that
never bad-mouthed other players. Just played hard and
clean. But he was too good for Dobler and Dobler knew
this.
People do big turnarounds. Dobler seems
like a noble fellow now. But he was damn dirty, dangerous
dirty. So its hard to figure exactly what goes through
this man's head.

I think Kev is spot on concerning Phil.
Only 2nd hand info, but credible.
Heck, maybe he has changed like Dobler.
