I didn't know ridglings had their own category...is that standard??

I have no clue... when you look up High Blues on pedigreequery, it says that he's a colt. That's a good question because I haven't seen very many ridglings (not on thoroughbreds anyway.)

Yeah, they mark it as an r. noticed it on last year's Haskell winner all the time because I was dead set to lose most of my 2005 pennies on him.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the biggest problem with ridglings tends to be the irritation, right? Wasn't that why they gelded Funny Cide? (Or am I thinking of someone else...?). I'm sure the boys can still swim upstream -- there just might be less of a crowd.

If Bright One is half as good as I have been told repeatedly, he wins this race like Bernardini won his Jim Dandy, and then the two decide who the best 3yr old is in the Travers.
