I thought both articles were good. I don't see anything Finley should be embarrased about.

Yeah, racing fans have never heard of races like the Hill Prince. Maybe one of the big problems for racing is that other than guys like Beyer, Crist and Randy Moss, most people write as though the fans are stupid. We're not stupid. Alright some of us are, but for the most part we as fans are a pretty sharp bunch.
You forget to name one other person to that list

I'm not "stupid" .....just "clueless"

No, the "clueless" reference is from another thread.

I agree with you totally, but there are others who seem to know everything about this sport.....I'm not one, but listen to others opinions. Opinions.....everybody's got them.

It's Bill Finley...what do you expect? The funny thing about his writing is that if you didnt know better you would think he only covered horseracing part time.

Default his father was a mudder his mother was a mudder

Boundary is an excellent sire when it comes to mudders. The track may not be muddy for his next start and he might not like running on a fast dry track.

and.. I think Dutrow is al out of horse by the time he gets to the big dance.

ie Sis City

I can't fault Finley for that article. You have to remember that ESPN caters to the lowest common denominator. How else can you explain Stuart Scott?
