To be honest, I did think that he was much too good for this field to lose but there was no way that I thought he was 1/5 better than them. This race tells me that the Donn was not the throwout race that all of the people that are smarter than me and told me I was an idiot was. People said the Donn was a throwout because Daaher was obviously a better horse than he showed and because I simply asked "how do you know that when he hadn't faced the conditions that the Donn presented", I was attacked as an idiot and basically an unknowledgeable race watcher.
would you like a violin?

This is pathetic. At least now we know he is accountable for ALL his opinions.

Andy should set up a "racewatching" course so that unknowledgeable fans can become certified in watching races and their opinions could not be further disparaged by the "racing experts".

When have I ever not been? It's just sad that you feel that you always have to be right.

Baloney.

Pre-race opinions are hardly razzed around here unless one makes fun of him or herself.

You're really being silly, and sort of desperate, here. It doesn't suit you.

Ya know, this is even lamer than I first realized. I could go on and on about quite a lot of stuff around here but what's the point.

What's really amazing about this entire episode, and perhaps you should have thought of this, was that not only is there a post made the next day where I discussed your thoughts more carefully, but I also PM'd you ( you never even had the courtesy to respond ) to say I felt I was unfair and I apologized.

But, now you suddenly are prancing around on your high horse. OK, if it makes you feel better, I will admit I was wrong about something. I actually thought you were a good guy.

I don't need you to apologize for anything. I don't even want that. And you weren't the only one that decided to make personal attacks anyway. By the way, I am sorry for not responding to the PM. I was on the way out the door when I read it and meant to get to it later and honestly forgot about it. You know from the past that that's not the way I operate.

This wasn't about prancing around on any high horse. As I said, I didn't bet the race and I fully expected Daaher to win. So for that, I was dead wrong. This was just a moment where, in a flash, I did feel some vindication for the shots taken at me for expressing an opinion. To be honest though, I could have picked from a number of posts on that thread but I chose yours, and that particular post, because I thought it was something to have fun with.
