I'm going to watch the replay but it looked to me like Chantal Sutherland made a really stupid decision around the turn.

Didn't make much of a difference.

At the mercy of the jocks out there. 22 and 45. Possibly the slowest fractions of the meet at the distance and it, of course, happens when I'm riding a pick 3.

So now that's 8.6% instead of 8.5% first time starter?

I think she made a really stupid decision when she left Canada.

Default SA Late Pick 4

Tough sequence, so I'll treat lightly.

7) 4, 7, 11, 13
Really love the 11, Kalooken Year, especially at the price you'll get compared to the likely favorite, Pat's Cool Cat. Nearly beat him last time, too. And the best part? The always reliable Mike Smith "off" angle is in full effect.

8) 1,4
Just read that Massive Drama and a few other Zayat owned horses will be transferred out of Bafferts barn soon, and into the hands of Mott and/or Asmussen. Don't have any idea what that means, but I can't take 3 horses in a 4 horse race, so I'll leave Drama out, and cross my fingers. Even though Georgie Boy seems a little cheap compared the top 2, something tells me he'll be ready to run today.

9) 6
Hate singling in this race, but Sir Lowry should get a nice stalking trip here.

10) 5,6,14
Usually there's a 25K maiden claimer to end the card, but today we get a far uglier race. Not sure what to do, but I'll take a shot with these 3, and put the 6 She's So Vain as my top selection.

$24 for $1

Typical. Speed and fade in a handicap, but gate to wire in a maiden.

Alive to the 5, 6 and 14. Haven't hit a SA pick 4 in a long time, either.
Won't look at the will pays, as I don't want to jinx myself.

While anything can happen in the finale @ Santa Anita I'd love to have your ticket. Good luck!
