![]() Doug Cauthen (WinStar manager) said that VG was a solid stallion but didn't sire yearlings that could make $100K at the sales. He had become a <gasp> breed to race sire, not a breed to sell one. So when the Turkish offer came around, the syndicate snapped it up.
