Gary Stevens on HRTV i havent been following anything lately, so this is news to me. Any reasons as to why he left or was let go by TVG?

Bottom line, Gary Stevens wants to be a racing analyst, not a handicapper/tout. He wants to analyze what's happening on the track, not put together Pick 4/6 tickets, as TVG was having him do. Listen to Steven's own comments regarding this in an interview with Roger Stein.

while I harbor resentment for what Jerry did to Smary Jones in the Belmont, I think that Mr. Stevens is a good actor and perfect for television. When you have ridden so many horses, albeit Gary or Jerry, you're going to make some enemies. I like Gary on HRTV doing color. Jerry might be better at picking winners. Just a thought.
