So what? Many great horses have never won the Derby and many ordinary horses have. I'll be perfectly happy for Bernardini to have a great career even without a Derby win.

I knew this would happen - such sour grapes.

Not sour grape at all. You can pick on any horse in the world, except Barbaro.

Well, I would never pick on Barbaro - the poor horse is fighting valiantly for his life. I'm referring to fans (not anyone in particular) who insist that Barbaro absolutely would have beaten Bernardini, that Bernardini beat no one, etc............They can't see past their Barbaro-shaded glasses. I refuse to say that Bernardini would have beaten him; he might or he might not have. Nonetheless, I'm tired of hearing that he beat nobodies in the Preakness (or, tired and bad-luck horses like SNS and Brother Derek) and the Jim Dandy.......Still, I'll have to deal with the problem as long as I post and lurk on message boards. All I can do now is enjoy my horse.......which I will.
