Hope your boys keep rolling Scuds, except of course when they meet the Red Sox coming up.

They have a good chance.Half the problem was getting them to get a taste of the lead. Now that they have that,I think they will settle for nothing less than the division championship. That doesn't mean they will automatically get it.The A's are pretty game.I don't think they have as much talent as the Angels, but I do think they try just as hard, and want it badly. As you say,the Halos have to play Boston this weekend, and August(in general)is a tough go.So,a tie for the division lead might be a bit of an illusion.I think realistically, the Angels may fall 2-5 games back going into September, but I think they will be there in September. We finish at home against Oakland, and I expect those games will decide it all.

Your final bet was what, $500? What were the odds that you ended up getting?

You mean if I was to take part in that "scourge on society,"and bet on the net? If I had done such an awful thing it would have been for $500 at 6/1. Of course,my bet was made in VEGAS.Who doesn't have a buddy in Vegas that has nothing else to do but baby sit other people's bets?

Yankees have an easier run of games compared to the Bosox the next two weeks. Yankees can make a move and they know it. I don't bet sports ever but if I did I would consider playing them the next two weeks. Chacon looks straightened out and should reclaim his fifth starter spot. My good buddy is real tight with a certain Yankee skipper. Ponson didn't want to go to the pen in St Louis but as the Yankees are his last shot, they may attempt to make him the middle reliever that they are lacking and he could be VERY effective in that role and to bring in if a pitcher is getting rocked early in the game. Cano will be back soon, and Cabrera is rookie of the year who is getting better with every game. I havent seen a cannon of an arm like that by a left fielder in my life and hes hitting now as well. Yanks are playoff bound, only question is which team they knock off, Bo Sox or Chi sox, my strong bet is that they finish ahead of both.

MILKY CABRERA is gunna be the rookie of the year? Do they always vote an everyday player in,or do they sometimes vote for a pitcher? Did Fernando V. get it in '81?
