I should amend and say that there are more de Lago's get running at that distance and beyond than there are Redoute Choice's offspring.
Its a battle between himself and Redoutes Choice for top honours, but now we have ROCK OF GIBRALTOR moving up the ranks fairly quickly. - A snippet from Tierce Surprise's reply.

I've seen more than a few Rock O's running down there in maiden plates and stuff. I also saw a few running at 'Toga this summer in MSW's there (and they did quite well). But they also seem "sprinty". Just based on Rock's choice distance of a mile, I'd bet his progeny at a mile and under.

Just a little FYI for those that might not know-
A mile is a little over 1600 meters.

The racing guides available to us through
http://www.australianracing.com (who also handles the U.S. simulcast feed)
converts the distances to furlongs and miles, so it's easier for us Americans to understand how far they're going. THE RACING GUIDES ARE FREE IF YOU SIGN UP THROUGH THE WEBSITE (with past performances in them).

An FYI to understand how Australia runs things is better shown here. It's actually very informative and helpful, and gives and example of a past performance as well.
