Yes. There is no way of knowing what is going to happen with him and his value can only go down. You sell when you can get the highest price and he just won the BC Classic.

Also, with English Channel and Smart Strike out there I am not so sure what type of price Curlin is going to fetch.

He obviously made a bundle selling the horse compared to what he paid for him and you have to throw in the purse money.

He hasn't been the luckiest guy out there so it was smart to take the big deal and put that one in the big win category.

With all due respect to English Channel, I would think Curlin would be a more highly sought-after stallion prospect. BC Classic winner, Preakness Winner, all as a 3YO? I know that if I'm looking for a son of Smart Strike at stud and had the choice betwixt English Channel and Curlin, I'm going to Curlin.
