Yep. It's always wild between LSU and 'Bama, but since Nick Saban is right in the middle of all of it, that'll just crank it up higher.

pick a school, any school. or any team for that matter. no doubt you'll find a fair share of idiots, no team has a monopoly on it. some people are just aholes, and will use ANY excuse to act as such.

it's always been wild but the fans respected and were civil to each other. saturday has all the signs of getting out of control quickly.

i was at the game 2 years ago in T-town. Bama lost in OT. the game ended in front of the Bama student section and they showered the Lsu players with ice, soda, cups and trash. i have NEVER seen a display like that at a Bama game, even after a loss to the barners. as far as i'm concerned that WHOLE section should have had their tickets revoked first thing monday morning for at least 1 yr.

I definitely agree with this. ANYONE who does it should be severely penalized. It's dangerous, first and foremost, but also classless.

i talked to my buddy that lives south of birmingham. UA closed the rv parking at lunch today and they are expecting 150,000 people to be in the area of Bryant-Denny Stadium. i pray it doesn't get ugly.

Zig, i don't think you want to be at this one. i just have a feeling this is gonna turn to bad blood.

i read an article where some business in BR have come up with some "houndstooth" gear and it's selling out. the tiger fan showing in purple and gold houndstooth is just throwing gas on the fire.

the Bama guys on the field BELIEVE they can win. that will be the difference.
enjoy the game, good luck!
ROLL TIDE !!

purple and gold houndstooth...not a good idea. well, unless you're one of the ones selling the stuff, laughing all the way to the bank. i just don't understand why some feel the need to be provocative.
at any rate, ought to be a good one. just hope the fans don't get out of hand.

I will go further and agree this happens at about every large University.

The key ingredients:

Add 2 dozen spoiled rotten frat boys
Throw in a keg or two of beer
Follow that up with mulitple manly shots of distilled liquor of your choice
Bragging about what they did in High School stories

and one gets...

Punks that will brag about having their way with a hoofed animal.
And challenging each other into other brave Knightly acts.

little boys.

I've had emails from friends of mine in Baton Rouge (huge Tiger fans) and they're thinking that 'Bama might beat their boys this year. I hope, like you, that it doesn't get ugly and I hope the powers that be have plenty of reinforcements. The campus at Tuscaloosa is not nearly as large as LSU's.
