First two games at home, with Beckett starting Game 1. Ought to set up the all-important momentum in favor of my boys.

Sox in 6.

Tito has his work cut out from himself when they shift to Denver. Who does he sit? Papi, Youk or Lowell? Maybe he'll move Lowell to SS and sit Lugo.

Not likely.

GO SOX!!!

I wouldn't complain if he did that!!

Move Pedroia to SS, put Youk at 2nd, and Papi at first...

That would be my solution...

That would officially be the worst defensive lineup in the history of the World Series...

Maybe, but since all three have played those positions in the Majors before (.952 fielding pct at SS by Pedroia, 1.00 pct at 2B by Youk, and .989 fielding pct at 1B by Ortiz), and it keeps all the bats in the lineup it might be an idea. Those #'s don't look like the worst defensive lineup, but #'s do not always tell the truth...

I am not a MLB Manager though, nor do I want to be or dream to be...

No sir.

Everyone second guessing decisions on a horse racing board
is the ultimate pressure cooker. Scuds would try and kill my
kid if I managed the Dodgers... Way dangerous.

I agree with the pitching and defense theory, but making those moves wouldn't be as drastic as Mayo Smith putting Mickey Stanley at SS for the Tigers in the '68 Series (Ray Oyler their regular SS was hitting well below the Mendoza Line).

Wow, nice!

Love when people pull out old stats and moves...

It will be interesting to see what Francona does, as well as how he changes the pitching rotation...

Youk has played 2B in the past for Boston (2005). So it is not crazy to think he might get a look at it in this series...

And Pedroia has played SS last year for the Sox.

I would take a an error or two by Youk at second, then have Jugo make a couple errors and go 1 for 25 in the World Series..

IMO you go with pitching and defense. But I can see how it will be hard to sit one of those bats. Should be a tough choice, glad I don't have to make it.
I am glad I do not as well...

It will be interesting to see how it plays out...

(Also, Youk only played a handful of games at 2B, but IF I remember correctly, he did not make one error.)

You think they are going to play in a blizzard for Games 3 and 4?
