![]() Have seen footage of John Henry, I was young when he was in his prime. What I have seen, and from all that I have read and heard he was incredible! A legend in the history of racing, and for that matter in the history of sports. He will be missed.

![]() Link to equidaily.com's coverage. Watch the first edition of the Arlington Millions (and a dozen more of the old man's races). Unbelievable!

![]() Haskins wrote "Against All Odds" should be on John's statue. He had no Northern Dancer, Raise A native, Native Dancer or Bold Ruler. He had no Nearco or Nasrullah either. An inspiration for all fans of the game from bettors to breeders.
And I notice he won the JCGC when it was 12F. Last edited by sumitas : 10-09-2007 at 11:05 PM. |

![]() Here's some clips from the local Lexington news stations. Another forum member suggested some of you might like to see them.
Very sad to see that the great champion has passed on, but he went out fighting as he did his whole life. A true legend. you have to click on the video tab and then click play on the media player. http://www.wtvq.com:80/midatlantic/t...0-09-0003.html This one should just play. The commercial plays first. http://www.wlextv.com/global/video/p...e&rnd=43334744 |

![]() Great to listen to the race call from the 1ST Million with Phil Georgeff. It's a cliché now but that was truly the things that legends are made of.

![]() One last comment...thanks to those that were John's caretakers. It must have been very difficult for them at the end. These are good human beings.
