this is a real tricky one. Has APOB improved USR enough to reverse form with Tariq in Ascot. the ground will probably have a bit more cut, so he may well do, as long as he has taken last weeks race in his stride. Welsh Emperor was 2nd here last year (albeit a weaker race!) but he wouldnt be the worst each way bet if its soft. THe big problem i have with french racing is that it can be tricky to actually know what the ground is like. their "soft" is very different to out "soft"

Couldn't agree more. It's a fantastic race, but very tricky with so many good horses in it. My heart says Tariq, but my head is telling me to leave the race alone.

Although Tariq's good form has come on a fast surface, he is by Kyllachy, who went on soft and if you cast your mind back to his debut, Tariq was a very impressive winner of a Newmarket maiden and the ground was very soft that day.

I don't think it will be proper French 'soft', if that makes sense. If the same racing surface was over here i think they would be calling it good to soft, soft in places.

wow, well done. I didn't know anything about him, and i've left the french card alone today.

You're in form, what's going to win the Cambridgeshire?

I can't see me having a bet in France at all over the weeked. Although i might have a few quid on Youmzain ew at about 40/1 tomorrow.

Disappointed with Tariq, but that race was very tricky. I forgot all about it so i only saw the result. What is the ground looking like?
