i just talked to him earlier. he was home on leave, headed to VA on friday of last week. they're leaving in a day or two for a brief trip down the coast, about a week long. not sure when he'll actually head out on a long cruise tho. he's doing fine tho, thanks for asking! everyone here hadn't seen him in a while, and were surprised at how much he's changed. he's not a gawky teenager anymore.

I would say a throat probe with the tongue muscle
was a possibility based on the photo. And that would
indeed cause a barfing reflex response. In addition,
possible beard abrasion for both men likely.
