Too much "oh well," and "that's the way it goes sometimes" being used to excuse what really is the result of poor execution. This is one guy that I know isn't getting out of his team what it really has to offer.

no one more popular than a winner...why weis is struggling so badly, i don't know. should he get the boot so quickly? not for me to decide. but i wouldn't be surprised if they did let him go. things are not the way they used to be.

ND is still paying Willingham and have 10 years left on Weiss' contract at one million a year. He's not going anywhere.

I do not see how they will win more than 2 maybe 3 games this year and I find it hard to believe he keeps his job if that happens. Especially if the NY Giant job opens up.
i didn't think willingham should have been fired after 3 yrs. i personally think they should get 5yrs. at 5yrs you have ALL YOUR players, thats when you find out where your are.
do i think weis has recriuted well in his first 2 seasons? no. do i think he'll turn nd around in 5 yrs? no. do i think weis can coach and game plan and call plays? yes.

I certainly can't explain it. I've always been a ND fan and have never seen a ND team play this poorly. You can only be an offensive whiz if you have the horses. Perhaps they should have scheduled some easier games early in the season? I don't know. I do know they lost 15 starters from last year, but it's still no excuse to look so awful. Did anyone catch the Syracuse game?
They look worse yet. I couldn't believe the number of empty seats. I'm off to a rough football season as far as my teams go.

Syracuse 0-3
Notre Dame 0-3
N.Y. Giants 0-2

What's a guy to do?
