A more amazing achievement..

It was Tigers 60th victory in a pro event! 60!! and he is 31. Jack was 36 when he won his 60th. (and I am not putting down Jack, he and Tiger are unseperable as to being the greatest evah!) but that just shows how incredible Tigers # is. Tiger is 2 wins away from tying Arny's win mark.

It's incredible watching this guy. With most athletes and in most sports, when both participants put forth their best efforts, u aren't sure who will win but u know u will likely get a good game. With Tiger, the only way to beat him is if he has an off game and u play your best. Other than that, it's lights out. Knowing that if Tiger plays his game, u have no chance to win, in a sport like golf, is amazing. It's amazing, incredible........and boring all at the same time.

He is simply the man....we are honored to be around when the best player in history is playing...I love Jack too, but Tiger dominates like nobody in history and at a time when there are literally 100's of golfers capable of winning every event!

He is the greatest ever. That being said(if he putts at all well,)it's like watching a pacer destroy a trotter. The end result of Sporting events need to be in question,or it's very minor entertainment.

Scuds it's over if he is hitting the driver straight - when he puts the ball in the fairway ( i think he was close to 80% for the weekend , he is not going to lose) the other guys are all playing for 2nd - this doesn't happen all the time , but , lately he seems to be keep it on the short stuff , this leads to more birdie and eagle putts which are more makeable and thus hi putting stats go down , when he has to play from the rough he can't get the ball as close and thus he doesn't make as many putts -

I don't think it's boring. It's simply the best at his best. Nothing wrong with watching that. Like Secretariat's Belmont...that wasn't boring either. Much like golf in horse racing you can't always be at your best all the time...witness Onion and Prove Out...and Tiger Woods still loses more tournaments he enters than he wins as dominant as he is. When witnessing them at their best, I would call it more fun, than boring.

Depends on what u like watching. I enjoy watching him to see what he's going to do. I don't enjoy watching golf for the competitiveness though. I think Scuds put it best by saying that when the end result is not in question, it's reduced to minor entertainment. It's sort of like watching a replay of a football game when u know who won already. Or watching the original Olympic Dream Team back in 1992 play against Uganda. When Tiger has to come from behind or is locked in a battle with one of the other top players, there is more suspense. But when he's in front heading into the final round, it's boring for me.

Well, yeah, you're from Idaho. The bar is pretty low there(as far as what qualifies as competition,or entertainment.)Once he gets part of the lead, then that's it for the competition aspect. Then it's like a Broadway Show or something. You know the outcome, but you want to see how it differs from the way you've seen it performed previously. It's limited entertainment, but so was that piece of crap "LIL HOUSE ON THE PRARIE." Somehow they made money with that, too.

No in all actuality I am not from Idaho, I am from Ohio. I live in Idaho. There are really no bars here either from what I can tell. I don't call Sunday's tournament not entertaining. He trailed by 1 going in, he still trailed early on the back nine by one to Stricker, and he kept making birdies....birdie after birdie. He shot 63. When the two leaders shoot 66 and 68 I wouldn't call that a lack of competition...call me crazy.

Believe it or not, when we turn on a TV in Idaho and watch a baseball game or golf tournament, the exact same picture comes over that screen as what you are watching. Absolutely amazing how that works!!!

Have a damn potato.

And funny enough scuds...I saw him have part of the lead or the actual lead on Sunday at both the Masters and US Open, and at the end of the day I saw Zach Johnson and Angel Cabrera with trophies...so I'm not sure how exactly is it over when Tiger gets part of a lead??

Do u have any doubts that this tournament is over? Tiger shot a 63 today and leads by three going into the weekend. He's something like 29-6 when he has a lead or a share of it after 36 holes. Talk about anti-climactic. He's magical to watch when he's going like this. That's why I say he's exciting and boring at the same time. It's exciting to see just how well he's going to do but boring because u are only watching him. U aren't watching to see the tournament because that's basically over. If he should happen to lose, it's because he lost, not because anyone else beat him.

Lori...another scary stat.

Mr. Palmers 62 wins came in 734 career starts.

Tigers 60 wins have come in 229 starts.

yes that is amazing, but you must realize that Palmer and Jack played many tournys after they werent that good (as in PGA winning good standards). So Palmer and Jacks numbers are a little diluted.

But it doesnt take away from an amazing run from Tiger... one that will never be matched IMO!
