I get the Blood-Horse too although I always felt the TDN that came along with it was the best part. I'm not overly fond of this new "Blood-Horse NOW" but it looks like subscribers will still get the TDN for free until their subscripton runs out.

i get bloodhorse, as well as checking other sites on line, such as thoroughbred times, drf, etc.

but yeah, the bloodhorse is my 'fix'. love getting it...usually flip thru it, and then go back and read from cover to cover.

speaking of which...a co-worker asked me about racing, and i was off! would love to convert others to the sport.

hope i didn't bore him too much. i like to tell people about storm cats and ap indys stud fees...usually piques their interest....

I get Thoroughbred Daily News, which is nice because you get the daily email newsletter. Problem is that the magazine is always a week behind, so the next one that I will get on Monday or so of next week will have The Whitney coverage, for example.

Is The Bloodhorse any more timlier (if that is a word)?

No timlier, but it also comes with a plethora of daily email news letters. And then there's the website, which is pretty timely. The magazine covers many topics more in depth, but the raw "news" items I usually see at the website in much the same form as, and prior to receiving, the mag.

Of course, there's so many websites nowadays, it's hard not to be up to date.

Great topic, I've been thinking about subscribing to a racing rag. Seems like The Bloodhorse is the one most people are naming. When I was a kid in middle school *many* years ago, our school library used to get "Maryland Horse". I checked out *all* of them, and never brought back most of them.(Shhhhhhhh, I think they've lost my trail!!) That was a great mag, just beautiful, with so many photos. I hope Bloodhorse is on the same lines.
