I can tell you my least favorite Funny Cide memory was when I bet him strong in the Louisanna Derby, and Peace Rules went by him like he was standing still.

I thought his 3yo return race that year was sneaky awesome, in the same sort of way I felt about Giacomo's Sham Stakes loss, but I couldn't find an excuse for FC in the Fairgrounds race.

Not only did I lose a sizeable wager on the soon to be Derby winner that day, but I also held his performance that day against him in his next two outings. I had a pretty good sized Empire Maker over Peace Rules straight exacta in the Derby that year....that he had to reject.
