I mean we are staying at The Holiday Inn and it is almost $350 a night. QUOTE]

Why would anyone spend $350 a night to spend 8 hours in a room to sleep and take a shower? Last year I stayed at a rat hole called the Oak Grove in Burnt Hills about 20 minutes from Saratoga down Rte 50 south of Ballston. It was owned by Chinese and has been purchased by Indians in the off season. They have renovated it (it remains to be seen what the renovations actually are). When I made my reservation for this year I asked and was told that there no longer is carpet on the walls (something I had never seen before in motel decor). It didn't smell too bad. It is $67 a night for two double beds. There is a Stewart's within a mile. What more do you need? I curse my good pal for getting married about 10 years ago. My free lodgings went down the drain that day.
