![]() I'll tell ya what is just as bad. That is this f'n Jenny Craig letting us know middle- aged women(that use to be hot) are now cow types.I am sure they are well paid, but I really don't need to know that Valerie Bertinelli got that big.Hopefully, this is just a SOCAL thing, and the rest of the country doesn't have to watch all that.

![]() I agree. I was confused by the "NOW" concept. I was like HUH???? And they have Mike Wilbon and Herbstriet and Key analyzing this. It is pretty stupid. I could care less about Sports Center these days. I cannot stand Stephen A Smith, Stuart Scott, Dick Vitale etc etc. The only show that is any good is PrimeTime. I loved it when Harold Reynolds was on Baseball Tonight, Charlie Steiner was in the studio etc etc.
Oh the things I hate the most is the "Ultimate Highlight." |

![]() I had heard the H. Reynolds thing had to do with hugging women ect...allegedly. ESPN only promotes the sports they own TV rights to. They use to cover NHL Hockey when they showed the games, now the Stanley Cup Final clinching game was not even the lead story. They promote Arena Football because they have the rights, are you f***ing kidding me. They actually have Mike & Mike broadcast the game to double up on promotion. There is no limit to thier self-serving billsh*t. Just show the sports for people who like sports don't make it a tabloid show. The people who want the fluff pieces aren't watching every night. I just with wish they would show highlights and not think they were the sports.

![]() Just the latest in their pathetic, unending phony stunts. The watershed on this nonsense was the "Top 100 Athletes of the Century" back in 2000.. Supposedly put together by their writers, talent and editors, yet was completely devoid of any real understanding of sports, skill or history.
When Michael Jordan was named #1, Babe Ruth #2, I called Tony's radio show and called the thing out as a total fraud. All it ever was, and is constantly, is a forced opportunity for soundbytes and highlights. One of the comments about the Ruth-Jordan outcome came from one of their "talents", and was something like, "From every highlight I see of Babe Ruth he was a fat slob. How can he be the top athlete of the Century?" Maybe, you brainless turd, you might take into account that there was NO "highlights" of Babe Ruth when he was leading the American League in triples BECAUSE THERE WAS NO MOTION PICTURES YET... Or setting a consecutive scoreless inning streak in the World Series as a pitcher... A record that stood for, oh.. 75 years... Just pathetic. And any of these putzes ever hear of Jim Thorpe? Let's see... He was voted Top Athlete of 1900-1950 by REAL sportswriters. So tell me who was a better athlete than Thorpe the next 50 years in this country? Or anywhere... Pro football.. Pro baseball.. Olympic decathalete.. Yeah.. Michael Jordan, who couldn't hit a curveball from AA pitchers was a better "athlete". Laughable. ESPN is a complete sad joke.. And I'm glad to see everyone thinks this latest ridiculousness for what it is...

Another thing I hate is when they do that ESPN Deportes break. That really irks me. Isn't that why they have "The Oucho?" |

![]() Let's handicap the next ESPN farce...who's most then??
Sports oddities...miracle winners...failures...overhyped...underperforming.. .short term wonders, etc. top 5 qb draft pick quarterback failures were way too easy so I tried to limit them a bit. Clint Longley Mark Fidrych Buster Douglas Craig Perks Orville Moody Timmie Smith Ryan Leaf Tim Couch Heath Shuler Bill Johnson (the skier) Anna Kournikova MIchelle Wie Billy Ray Bates Marvin Barnes David Clyde Rick Ankiel Joe Gilliam T C Chen Pearl Washington Gheorge Muresan Sam Bowie Chris Washburn Tonya Harding Brian Doyle (the baseball player) Rosie Ruiz Ron Franklin (the jockey) Mark Gastineau Gerry Cooney LaMarr Hoyt Mark Davis (the pitcher) Andre Ware David Klingler (the last two could be considered one person I think) ...way more fun than the crap going on now taking up 30 minutes a day.
