For what it's worth, the late p-4 on Mondays at Calder is always worth a look. In general they handle $2.0 million on Mondays and $3.5 million on weekends. However, the late p-4 pool on Mondays is almost always $25-$30,000 compared to $15-$20,000 on weekends (unless it is a "special event" day like Summit, etc...). The early p-4's at Calder this time of year are also very playable but for another reason. They place the turf races early in the card because there is always a big chance of an afternoon shower this time of year and a lot of the turf races wash off. Some night before off-turf handicapping is very worthwhile.
