Default Bold Predictions

Bold Brooklynite made a prediction about Mayan King. Some berated him for it, others praised him. I do have to give him credit, he is willing to stick his neck out and make predictions. ]

So what are some of yours? Do you have evidence to back them up or is it just a "feeling?" Let's record them here, then relook at this thread in the future and see how many of us are right, and how many of us are just a lot of noise. I'm thinking I'm going to be contributing to the "noise" portion.

Here's mine: Dubai Escapade will remain undefeated the remainder of the year.

Shane Laviolette will not win an allowance race at Arlington, this meet, three years running.

That si a bold predictiuon considering she is trained by Eoin Harty, who may be a nice guy but I believe he is a bet against on most occasions...I've seen this guy over and over lead up horses that looked like they couldn't lose yet they do very frequently....Believe me, I'm a huge Dubai Escapade fan and I hope you're right, but I would want someone like Albertrani to train that filly before I made a prediction that she would remain undefeated when you could say any other horse in the world....I guarantee that she will not be 100% for the rest of here starts this year coming out of that barn, which doesn't mean that she won't win because she is pounds better than the majority of her competition..

As for Mayan King, at least he knows racing better than the Prairie Meadows morning-line odds maker...good God...I still cannot believe he made that horse 15-1

Bernardini will dominate the 3 year old division and very possibly beat older horses.

Melhor Ainda will come back and win multiple grade 1s.

Joel Cunningham will trash Funny Cide, Oracle will hate him for it, and then board members will be forced to pick sides. The culmintaion will be a Hell in a Cell steel cage match between Joel and Oracle on Breeders Cup Day @ CD. It will be held between the Turf and Classic.

Special guest referee: My Miss Storm Cat
Guest Ring Announcers: Steve Byk and JJ Gracie
Timekeeper: Barclay Tagg

Maybe I'm not going out on a limb but here goes:

Henny Hughes is going to establish himself as one of the all time great sprinters even stretching out to a mile. He's at the begining of a winning streak that will see him undefeated for the rest of the year. Lost in the Fog will also go on a streak that will leave a highly anticipated matchup between these two. Henny will be the clear victor in this battle.

Indian Vale will go on to win the Go For Wand, as well as the Distaff.

Wow...possible I guess..I like the colt, but he may prove to be a better 4yo...Can he win the Ohio Derby?...sure, with a favorbale trip and some things going in his favor, but a Grade I?...Probably needs to really begin to improve to do that....Just not many Gr. I's left this year for him to realistically blossom and win one....BUt, I love the prediction!!!

Joel, the only thing that concerns me is if Melhor Ainda is healthy; she has a sporadic work pattern and I'm not sure why she hasn't run already. Still, Bobby did indicate months back that he might train her up to the Diana; if that's the case, he probably doesn't need to work her like clockwork every 5 days since that race isn't until mid-August. He's a great trainer and she runs well off of layoffs (as well as on any going - firm, good, soft).......I'm really crossing my fingers with her.

That is classic baby!!!..Absolutely beautiful...love it....Who's laying odds? Am I the 3-5 choice yet?

Actually, if Barclay is keeping time I am probably at a disadvantage and should be an underdog...LOL...Nice post

I actually agree with a lot of this....nice prediction.......Henny is a monster in my opinion...in know he beat nothing when the Smart Strike colt and Keyed Entry both scratched, but I was VERY high on him as possibly being the most talented sprinter in the country before that race and I only needed to see a solid return to affirm my belief.....I would consider his return WAY better than I was expecting.....he is a monster and I've been warning people on ATRAB about his comeback for months....

Like many already know, I am a huge Happy Ticket guru and even I thought that Indian vale was the best Distaffer heading into this season after I saw her win last fall at CD...she is very talented but I'm not sure how genuine she is now after she flopped in the Shuvee....I'd like to see more fight out of here before I reinvest my liking towards her...at least Happy Ticket is a fighter....I still think Indian Vale is every bit as good as Oonagh MaCool from a talent perspective...just my opinion...let's see if she can rebound and salvage her season...se is by the very nice Marley Vale out of A.P. Indy so you won't see her racing for much longer before she retires to be bred...I say at the end of this season regardless of what happens....

Even though he may not have beaten much and certainly wasn't tested I think it's important to remember that the horse hasn't run in 7-8 months and he nearly set a track record on his return. He has logged more frequent flyer miles this year that I have in my life and he still managed to mature and come back with the same incredible speed and fluidity that made him a force as a 2 year old. I will solidly get behind this prediction.

Yeah, and I trhink your concerns are valid...let's face it, she is a Pulpit and as much as I like that stallion, his foals are very fragile animals on par, especially the fast ones, and obviously he was very fragile and has passed his soundness issues to his progeny.....Frankel is stellar off the shelf so I would definately see it as a strong endorsment if she trains directly up to the Diana because it would tell me that he is confident that she would be up to that task or he wouldn't do it to her.....we'll see

I'm with you 100% on Happy ticket, she is a special mare. I would like to see Happy win a few more of those fights, but she is a pleasure to watch. I'm giving Indian Vale a mulligan, thinking maybe she didn't like Belmont like she didn't like Philly Park last year. I also thought she was the best coming into this year, and I think she will be vindicated. We already know she loves Saratoga, and Churchill, and 2 turns. I know she spit the bit pretty bad in the last out, but Take D'our proved last out that she is a possible force in the Distaff division, although I'd like to see her transfer those Belmont races somewhere else.
