I think Stoute took out Maraahel because, he likes to race him relatively fresh and it looks like a tough race.. He won over 12f at Royal Ascot, though beforehand people thought he was better over 10. He might now go for the King George or even wait til the Juddmonte International.

This doesnt look like a betting race, just sit back, relax and enjoy a few of Europes superstars face off. The bookies favour David Junior to reverse form with Ouija Board from Royal Ascot but it'll be tough. David Junior may not be as good as everyone thought he was. We'll hopefully find out on Saturday.

Alot of people thought that connections were mad for running Ouija Board at Ascot and now just 17 days later, they are running her again (well if all goes to plan this week). She is the class act in the race and I personally have underrated her.

It'll be her fifth run of the year after racing in Dubai, Singapore, Epsom and Ascot. David Junior will be racing for the third time this year!

Of the three year olds, Aussie Rules may bounce back from a bad run in the French Derby.

Thanks MMSC!..Nice field....I have been waiting for Hala Bek to run back...I really thought he was best in the Epsom Derby, but I wanted to bet him back against 3-year-olds and not in a spot like this....Since you are so much more informed will you please let us know when he runs back?...I want to bet him if it is at the right distance against his own generation....Thanks again!

Mr. Cunningham, I believe Hala Bek is very difficult to keep right, thus only having run once before the Derby. He didnt work well prior to an attempt at the Irish Derby and so, they are preparing him for an Autumn campaign so will miss the King George and other top summer races, with the Arc as his target.. I agree with you that he was very unlucky in the Derby..

I know Brockguy already answered you but just wanted to say i've a special place in my heart for the Jarvis-trained bunch (wonder if Rakti is happy in his retirement... ) so of course... when Hala Bek is back and i read anything of note I'll let you know. Of course Brockguy will probably beat me to it...

And I'd love to see Ouija Board kick the boys in the teeth again!

Oh Ruffie, I miss our boy too! Especially right now cause there's a poster - can't think of his name but it reminds me of Aleksandr Sergeyevich Pushkin for some reason - and he's calling me Papa. I mean how terrified would YOU be?

Where's Rakti when you need him!

(edit - he's actually VERY nice... just a misunderstanding but alas..... a little PR for Pushkin never hurt, right?)

It damned well better not or I'll revoke you membership in the Rakti / Bulldozer Club(s)!

(Oh God..... and Bulldozer will send even more of those endlessly long and gloomy emails from Hong Kong - bad enough he doesn't get to swim like the other horses ..... please don't do this to me)!

~ SUNDAY!

I like Aussie Rules as well..... showed a lot of promise. I'm not saying to win here but as one to watch.

Am wondering who will get the mount on Ace if the (absurd) charges aren't dropped..... poor Kieren.

With or without the divine Ms. Ouija Board, I don't think the race belongs to David Junior by any means. I've always thought he was overated.

Hope you're right and we see Maraahel in the King George.
