Oh yeah, I forgot to say that I hope they have it worked out by the Belmont. As of now (or the near future), I cannot wager on the NYRA tracks online period in Arizona. That is what I meant...

I would look for a different way to wager on the Belmont. Churchill/Magna will not budge in this fight. I live in NY and bet through America Tab but that option will not be available. I live 60 miles from Belmont so going to the track to wager is only an option a handfull of days. I won't go back to betting races to placing bets at OTB and paying their surcharge.

I could open a Youbet account which is not giving into Churchill and Magna's demand that they drop TVG exclusive tracks. I could also open a NYRA account. NYSWB just approved internet wagering for NYRA so that is probably what I will do.

It just stinks how the racing industry treats it's customers.

Totally agree. Problem with Youbet is that I can only wager on the phone, not over the internet. Not a huge issue to many, but I don't want that hassle.

I still cannot understand why it is differnet among the different ADW's. I can understand not being able to bet Turf Paradise, which could potentially take money out of the state, but it is completely different between the others.

TVG will not open an account period in Arizona.

Youbet will take accounts here, but no wagering over the internet, just over the phone.

America Tab/Xpressbet will take accounts here, allow wagering over the phone and over the internet.

Why the differences? If someone can explain, please do...

Did you see this DRF article?

It is extremely frustrating and ridiculous. I switched to AmericaTab after my state racing commission put the kabosh on ExpressBet. So now, because of their further bickering, after May 3rd, none of the tracks that love betting on this time of year will be carried by AmericaTab, so I essentially have nothing.
I cannot join YouBet because they are not Mac compatible. I cannot join TVG because they do not allow accounts from Colorado. Argh!

I am a die hard fan, and watch racing for the joy of it, more than the gambling aspect, but I still like to place a well timed bet on a fairly regular basis. I wont stop watching horse racing, I grew up on the track, and it is in my blood, but I can really see how this situation will be driving others away from the sport. This is a consequence horse racing can ill afford to happen. They really need to wake up and come to some kind of mutual agreements, before it's too late.

Some people are going to Philly, which is only phone betting, if you don't mind that. I'm working on setting that up & just reactivated my youbet account. I didn't know that Bris didn't allow Cal residents to bet Cal tracks, a state restriction most likely, as I can't bet NM here. It's all very confusing & ridiculous. It seems like we should have the right to do what we want with our money.
