Just looked this one over with the brisnet PPs and I must say I am feeling really good about this spot. No one else has as much early speed as she does and no one else looks particularly good on the dirt except possibly the 6 horse. I think we've actually got a solid shot here!

I think Willie is a really good gate rider. He should be able to make the best of it. Hopefully Churchill hasn't changed too much since the BC

I haven't looked at the PPs, who are the favorites? Bellafina & Fast Actress? They are carrying the most weight for some reason. I doubt 3 lbs will make a difference.

the forecast looks really good. Sunny with a low of 54 and high of 76

The Moon (at apogee) shines below Spica this evening. Far to their upper left is brighter Arcturus, sometimes called the "spring star."
