Olympic Chief already has 15k in WPS pools on him. Talk about wasting
money. They should just give it to me. I can put it to good use.

I am FINALLY excited over the Derby and Curlin came thru as hoped for.

He was immensely smooth at the break, getting position and keeping to his track. What a beautiful finish.

He made a nice move around the turn and I thought he might actually move into contention but Curlin was just too good.

But I agree with you completely, once Curlin ran off I thought he would be beaten for the Place spot. Gotta love that he's tough to pass in the stretch.

He ran a decent race trying to close against the slow pace, Cajun. Came very wide around the turn and finished 1 length behind the 2nd place horse. (and a nose in front of the 5th place horse!). He's pretty clearly not at the level of top group this year, though.

I watched the race at a sports bar and didn't get to hear anything. Can someone tell me WHY THE HECK wasn't Trufelsberg put behind Great Hunter? I saw them showing the replay and to ME it looked like Trufes was drunk going down the stretch and GH had to stop twice. (I will rewatch the race again) But I was wondering if anyone knew why they didn't dq Trufels?

Everyone else was wondering the same thing.

It's kind of interesting, actually... had they put Teuflesberg below Great Hunter, T-Berger may not have had enough in graded earnings to make the Derby field.

Well, I would be pissed because IMO they cheated GH's connections out of some $$$.

And I hope everyone stays off of his bandwagon because I like this colt. Jockey stopped asking after the had to stop him.
