All he does is find EVERYTHING wrong about sports...a chronic bitcher
but never knocks his own paper for some of the "crap" they have in it.

Video of Imus on Al Sharpton's "Fire Whitey Show"

I find it ironic that Reverend Assholeface didn't call for his idol James Brown to be fired when he beat his wife not one, but three times. Hypocrite racist bastard. Pot meet kettle, Sharpton.

Where exactly was James Brown going to be fired FROM? Wouldn't he have been an independent contractor?

Semantics. He was under contract with Polydor/Polygram.

That's not exactly true, he has taken his own paper to task at times (specifically for running "scamdicapper" Mike Warren adds). I think his social commentary far outweighs his TV sports commentary.

Then he should JUST do that and not "wrap it" in the sports page.
I don't think he would survive as a "social commentator" versus the Oprah, Dr. Phil or the other "greats" of our time...LOL!!!

The man's got to make a living. I take it your not a fan. I've been reading his columns for 20 + years, I happen to agree with much of what he writes. C'est La Vie

I just have a problem with someone who is always negative and has to bring up the most obscure things about something that "he" says he's a fan of (professional sports).

I understand that Hickory, some of the stuff he writes leaves me wondering, "who cares", but I think that's the nature of having a 2 or 3 times a week column, he has to fill some times with less than earth shattering stuff.

But, some of it is so minor...he's been with the paper so long, maybe they think they owe two to three columns a week.
