Only concern is another effort like that might leave him spent for Derby. Still thought Street Sense had another great setup and allowed Borel to do what he does best, hug the rail

Amazing that we know think that 'races' are too tough on horses. And then we are in shock when a "heavily raced" horse like Ravel breaks down.

I agree. But you have to consider it when analyzing how horses are coming up to a big race such as KY Derby.

I dont believe this to be true for horses that have already proven a certain level of ability. For a horse to suddenly jump up and run a huge race that was far better than its previous efforts, then it could be an issue. But for fast horses to run fast, I dont see where it matters.
